Move Closing or Extend Entries?

The closing date is not just the date by which riders need to enter the event. It is also the date from which there are more conditions in order to receive a refund when scratching.

If the closing date is moved to allow more riders to enter it will also mean that riders can still scratch and receive a refund without requiring a certificate.

Instead of moving the closing date you can extend entries by adding an Extended Date under Event Dates on the Event Details page. This will allow riders to continue entering the event without affecting the refund policy dates.

In the below example the event closed entries on the 7th of August but entries were then extended until the 10th of August.
