How To Set Up Course Plans

Course Plans cannot be setup on the manage page. You need to sign in as either the SJ Judge or the TD using eventsecretary.com.au/online.

  1. Select Course Plans
  2. Select the Pencil Icon to create/edit a Course Plan for a class
  3. Give the Course Plan a name. The default name will be fine for Horse Trials as there is only one course per level. For Pure SJ you need to add the Competition Type and Round number as well. For example "C Grade Two Round 1st Rnd".
  4. State how many obstacles are on the course. Not including start/finish or combinations. So if the course is 1,2,3,4A,4B,5 then put 5.
  5. The setup efforts will then be shown. If you select an effort several options will then appear. You can add a combination element to that jump e.g turn 4 into 4AB. You can rename the jump so if you are doing a jumpoff the jumps go 4,7,3,2,8. You can add a Timing Point for a 2 Phase event to mark that the first phase ends here. You can set a jump as a Joker for Top Score.
  6. State the length of the course in metres.
  7. The system will then calculate the time on course based on the rate for that level. You can override this time by ticking the Override time box and then editing the time on course. If the time on course is considerably different I recommend double checking with the course desinger that is their intention.
  8. Press the blue Save button.
  9. Select Copy Plan
  10. Tick the other classes that are using the same plan and press Copy Plans. Note: For Pure SJ you will still need to rename these other plans and double check the times on course.
  11. Note: You can edit times on course from the Course Plan list rather than going back into the Course Plan completely.
