Viewing Class Counts

To view Class Counts select Counts

This will then show a table showing each class and how many riders are entered, waitlisted and scratched as well as the class cap.

Entered, Waitlisted and Scratched are mutually exclusive terms. An entry cannot be both Entered and Scratched! Therefore the number of entered horses is equal to the number or horses entered in the class.

The Total number of entries in each competition and for the overall event is also the total entered in that competition or event. Not a sum of the entries in each class as a horse may be entered in multiple classes.

For example in the image below if you add up the number of horses entered in each class you get 242 but there are only 119 horses competing because horses can be entered in 1-4 tests for this event. Therefore if you want to know how many dressage tests will be ridden on the day you need to total the number of entries for each class rather than the total number of horses entered.

Also keep in mind that a horse can be scratched for one class and entered for another and will thus be counted in both columns so totalling the number of entered horses, waitlisted horses and scratched horses will not give you the total number of horses that were initially entered if you are calculating facility fees. If calculating facility fees I recommend you download the account instead.

Class Caps

Caps can be set on classes to limit the number of entries to that class. By default classes will be capped to 32.

To set a Class Cap go to Event Details -> Class Details. Select a class and enter an amount in the Maximum Entries field.

Under Competition Details there is a field called Auto Availability. This field allows you to set what happens when the class cap is reached. The class can be automatically changed to either Waitlist further entries or Full to completely prevent any more entries for the class.

There are also fields for Event Caps and Competition Caps but these are not automatic. They are just informational. Once the cap is reached you will need to manually set the event or competition to waitlist or full.

Class statuses can be manually changed by altering the Entry Availability field under class details.

Note: If the count reaches the cap and the status changes to full or waitlist it will stay on that status even if riders then scratch from the class and the count is reduced beneath the cap. If you want to reopen entries you will need to manually the the availability back to open. This is to prevent late entries claiming a spot when there are waitlisted entries.

Note: There are no division caps. If you open a 2nd division increase the cap for the whole class. If you want divisions to have different caps then they should actually be different classes.
