Conditional Pricing is where you want a cost to be conditional based whether a set of conditions are present or not. For example if a rider is a member of the host club they may receive a discount to their entry fee. Note: Conditional pricing is usually used to give discounts but it can also give surcharges. If providing a discount make sure to include a negative sign.
Conditions you can use include
A conditional pricing tick box appears in most locations where you can add a cost. This means you can add club discounts to classes, yards, camping or even bags of ice. When this box is ticked a field appears to allow you to apply a condition to that cost. In this example if the competition class count is equal to 2 then the rider will receive a $10 discount.
When adding conditions it is important to always select a value from the drop down list and not just write the value in the field.
Multiple costs can be added by selecting the plus icon next to Conditional Pricing.See the example below where if a rider is a member of Apollo Bay then the cost is $50 otherwise the cost is $60.
Multiple conditions can be applied to the one cost by pressing the plus icon next to the cost amount.See example below where is a rider is a member of Apollo Bay and had also entered 2 classes then they receive a $10 discount.
After adding conditional pricing always view the online entry to ensure the conditional pricing is working as you intended it. Conditional pricing is capable of achieving complex pricing structures. If you need assistance make sure to contact the Event Secretary Office.
