Change or Edit?

An entry change means the rider or horse is being changed to a new rider or horse. e.g Brendan will ride Biscuits instead of Apples at this event. Changes do not affect entries for other events. If a change is made it is important to check the membership details of the new rider or horse.

An edit means the name of the rider or horse is being changed. e.g Brendan accidentally entered his horse using his paddock name Biscuits and not his competition name Sweetwood Valley Biscuits. Editing a name changes the name of the rider or horse in the database and thus will change the name of that rider or horse for all events they are entered in.

How to make a Change or Edit?

To make a change or edit go to the rider's details page either through Search Rider or Entries/Lists/Orders.

The rider's name can be edited under rider details by selectinng Edit Rider next to the pencil icon.

When making an edit the name field will change to become customisable

The horse's name can be changed or edited under horse details. The rider of the horse can also be changed here. The change icon is the two arrows while edit is the pencil icon.

When making a change a pop up box will appear. It will list other riders or horses on the same order as options or you can add a new rider or horse. Then click the blue replace button. Note: This box will also let you know if another horse is already entered in this event.

When making a change of rider this will change the rider for all classes that horse is entered in as usually a horse will only have one rider for the event. If the horse will now be ridden by 2 riders it will require a more complex change. Please contact the Event Secretary Office in this case.

In the example below I have gone to change the horse being ridden by Dawn Lightbringer from Twilight's Edge to Apples. I can see that Dawn has one other horse on their profile named Twilight's Ruin who is also entered but they have never ridden Apples before so I select New Horse and then add Apples. Apples will then be added to their profile and will be an option for future events.

Competitions and Classes can be changed under the entry details. By selecting a different class in drop down list. Make sure you have the correct horse selected before changing class if the rider has multiple horses.

Before changing class check whether the new class has an increased cost and whether there is space in the new class.
