Logging in
Before the event begins you will receive a 6 digit PIN which is unique to the event and your role as the Gear Check. Use this PIN to log in.
Gear Check
Once you have logged in you will be at the gear check screen. You can search for a rider by their bridle number or press the 1,2,3 icon in the top right to select a rider by class.
Class Selection
This screen shows all of the classes for the event. Touch a class to view all the riders in that class. It will also show which phases a rider has already been gear checked for. If a rider has been gear checked for a phase there will be a green tick. If the rider presented to gear check but was not passed there will be a red cross. Otherwise the space will be blank.
If you touch a rider's name it will then take you to the gear check screen for that rider.
Gear Check
After selecting a rider it will then display all of the phases that rider is entered in. To gear check a rider for a phase touch the phase and then touch Passed.
If a rider has presented to gear check but they did not pass and will need to return you can touch Incomplete.
All information here is uploaded automatically. You do not need to press save. You can search for the next rider or if you are finished gear checking you can Sign Out by touching the exit icon in the top left of the screen. You can always sign back in later using the same PIN.
If a rider has scratched from the event you will not be able to gear check them. A message will display stating "Combination Scratched". If a scratched rider presents to gear check you will need to contact the office before they can be gear checked.
Comments
To add a comment for a rider touch the comment button. This will bring up a text box. You can either use the stylus in freeform mode (Pencil icon) or change to text mode to type in a comment (Letter A icon). Once you have completed the comment touch save to save the comment. To remove a comment touch the recycle icon.
